Davids Daily Dose - Monday March 21st

I just took a week off from doing DDD, and am coming back with a different format - 13 or 14 items in the Dose every few days is waaaaaay too much for you to read, and a lot of time for me to put together, so we are going to try something different. Part of the change is driven by the new New York Times paywall, which means you are only allowed to look at 20 NYT stories a month for free, after which they want a subscription.

So we are going to try a daily story/video/article, one a day plus either a good joke, video, music or other entertainment item. Hope you like it.......

Rachael Maddow had a fascinating interview last week with Naomi Klein, author of the bestselling book the "Shock Doctrine". The 11 minute interview focuses on the context of the recent bills proposed in Michigan to give the Governor draconian powers to dissolve cities and school boards, and worse. Naomi Klein explains how this is part of a 30 year plan to consolidate corporate power over government.

Yes, the oligarchs at work. I wish I was making this stuff up, but I'm not, so if you are interested in our future as a nation watch this one.......and by the way, there's hope!

We saw the movie "The Lincoln Lawyer" yesterday, and it was excellent. Great performances all around, but especially from Matthew McConaughey in the lead role.....a smart, intelligent thriller with some really cool moments.
In theaters now.....

Here's the Orlando Sentinel review and the trailer.....
